Mireya Ochoa and Martin Martinez are dedicated stewards at Rancho Los Ojos, where they work together to care for the land. Mireya, originally from Hermosillo, Sonora, has strong roots in Sinaloa. After moving to Agua Prieta at 20, she now has three children and enjoys family time and gardening. Her passion for her job drives her commitment to preserving and restoring the region’s native soils, flora, and fauna, as she aims to contribute to a better world.

Martin, a native of Sinaloa, also resides in Agua Prieta. he has developed a strong enthusiasm for his work since joining Cuenca in March 2022. Alongside Mireya, he has taken on the responsibilities of maintaining Rancho Los Ojos and its environment. Martin has acquired skills in making gabions and tricheras and shares Mireya’s love for gardening. He is eager to continue learning and making a positive impact on the planet.
