Karen is originally from the city of Querétaro. She has a degree in nutrition from the Autonomous University of Querétaro. Her work at Rancho El Uno began in 2020 with the Mexican Fund for the Conservation of Nature supporting administrative tasks such as financial planning, verification of expenses and preparation of reports, as well as support in the garden. She is currently part of the Cuenca team continuing with administrative tasks of Rancho El Uno and in the nine ranches of Cuenca, supporting the logistics of the events and preparing menus according to the needs of each group of visitors that are received. Karen strongly believes that environmental degradation leads to major problems, including those related to food. She feels being part of a whole, we must understand that the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity is of paramount importance to achieve food security for the population.
